Hermitage House

Hermitage House was designed by the famous Scots architect Robert Burn and built in 1785. The style reflects the old Braid Castle thought to have been in what is now known as Midmar Paddock at the end of Hermitage Drive.

The House includes a Visitor Centre where you can buy maps for the orienteering course.

Forestry and Natural Heritage (0131-529 2401) is also based in Hermitage House.
